Li Shan oolong tea is a lightly oxidised and tightly rolled Taiwan oolong tea which comes from Li Shan, Pear Mountain in Chinese, with an elevation ranging between 2200-2600 meters above sea level.
The high altitude provides an ideal growing condition for the Li Shan oolong tea. The leaves of the tea are very large with green in color. Usually, the large leaves are separated by long stems. The brewed tea has a bright lemon yellow color and a sweet almost buttery smell.
Usually, the fresh Li Shan oolong has a refreshing floral flavor. However, it gives a peach-like fruity flavor after being kept well at ambient temperature for more than a year. The tea can be infused 4-6 times.
