Qi Lan, also called Rare Orchid or Profound Orchid, is one of the most famous oolong tea which was grown in the Wuyi Mountains in the Fujian province and Anxi county in Fujian province, China.
The leaves of heavily oxidized and darker-roasted Qi Lan oolong are dark in color with a nutty aroma, while less oxidized are green in color with a orchid aroma.
The brewed tea is clear with bright golden in color. It has a lasting sweet aftertaste. Like other oolongs, it can be infused 4-6 times.
